MFIndustries.
MFICore is built and run by MFIndustries, a small operation in Alabama. It is a product rather than a project: it is paid for by the people who use it.
Why it exists
The starting point was a specific annoyance. Someone describes a boring problem — moving data between two systems, chasing the same form every week — that is genuinely an afternoon's work to solve. Solving it should not require standing up a server, a database and a billing system for one person.
So the platform is built so that the infrastructure is already there. You build the thing that is actually specific to the problem, and it runs under the account of the person who needed it, billed to them, at a price that makes sense for something small.
How we would rather behave
Say what is not built
Several pages on this site have a paragraph about what is missing. That is deliberate. Finding out after you have committed is worse.
Charge for the product
Usage-based pricing, no advertising, no reselling anything about you. If it is worth running it is worth paying for.
Let you leave
Export is a single file, and deleting an account deletes it.
Questions about who is behind it?
Reasonable question to ask before putting your business on something.
